A Message from Guy Alfieri, Treasurer
GALLATIN: WAKE UP.
This is the moment. This is the day things must change. On Friday, June 5, 2026, a judge told the citizens of Gallatin that they did not vote for what they clearly voted for.
I am furious. You should be too.
THREE VOTES. ONE CLEAR MESSAGE. IGNORED.
In 2018, three separate bodies all agreed on three consecutive terms for Mayor - not four.
The Gallatin City Commission placed the measure on the ballot.
The Tennessee General Assembly passed it into law.
The voters of Gallatin approved it by nearly 80% - a decisive supermajority.
Yet one judge has now overruled the will of the people.
AN ACTIVIST JUDGE OVERRULED THE VOTERS
I was in the courtroom. The judge read extensively from Mayor Brown’s attorney’s brief and adopted an interpretation that conveniently allows her to seek a fourth term.
The voters understood the term limits amendment clearly: three consecutive four-year terms. Mayor Brown has already served three. The judge rewrote the law to say otherwise. This is not neutral justice. It is a political decision that protects the establishment.
THIS IS HOW THE GOOD OLE BOY NETWORK WORKS
For twelve years, the same insiders have controlled Gallatin. In 2018, the citizens followed every rule and voted overwhelmingly to impose term limits. The machine found a way around it anyway.
This cannot stand.
THE FIGHT IS NOT OVER.
Our legal team, led by Tom Lee, is reviewing all options. But the most powerful tool remains the ballot box.
On November 3, 2026, Gallatin voters will elect a new Mayor and four City Commission seats. This is our opportunity to replace insiders with leaders who represent the people.
WE NEED YOUR HELP - NOW
The Make Gallatin Nice Again PAC exists to give citizens a strong, organized voice. We support reform candidates, fund voter outreach, and keep the pressure on.
The establishment has money and connections. We have the people, but organization requires resources. Please donate below.
Gallatin, the people voted three times for term limits. We are not done fighting.
Sincerely,
Guy Alfieri Treasurer, Make Gallatin Nice Again PAC
